Welcome to Rainbow Station
Rainbow Station is a pastoral lease high-country grazing property in the Nelson/Marlborough region of the upper South Island of New Zealand. The property is run in conjunction with Raglan, a property across the Wairau River due east of Rainbow Station. Find out more about Rainbow Station here.
Rainbow Station was purchased by the Cropp Family Trust and will operate as Rainbow Station Farms Limited from September 2016. This iconic high-country property adds to the Cropp family’s already significant interests in beekeeping, production and manufacturing of high-quality honeys, nutrition and skincare products.
The Cropp family runs Nelson Honey & Marketing (NZ) Ltd, in Motupiko, and its sister company, Rainbow Honey Ltd in Tapawera bringing together three generations of beekeeping and honey production experience. Formed in 1973, family-owned company Nelson Honey & Marketing (NZ) Ltd is owned and operated by Philip Cropp. Philip’s grandfather started producing honey from hives in the Nelson area as a sideline to his fruit orchard over 100 years ago. In conjunction with its sister companies, Rainbow Honey Ltd and Scenicland Honey Ltd, we now have well over 5,000 hives sited throughout pristine wilderness areas – including National Parks – in the Top of the South and along the West Coast.
